Birregurra is a small picturesque township famed for gourmet foods and leisure shopping. It is in Victoria’s South-West in the Otways hinterland close to Lorne, Apollo Bay and Colac. It is within two hours drive from Melbourne on the A1 Hwy via the Geelong Bypass and Winchelsea
The Birregurra Art Show is on again this coming October as part of the Birregurra Weekend Festival. Over this weekend the town hosts market stalls, food venues, street performance and varied entertainments. The Art Show, which is held in the Birregurra Main Street Hall, is a popular and central aspect of this vibrant community festival. The Opening of the Art Show (and award night) is one of the highlights of the festival.

The Birregurra Art Show draws a diverse and enthusiastic audience. As a community event and an award show it attracts both amateur and professional artists. This year sponsorship totalling $5600 provides $500 for first place and $200 second place awards in each of eight exhibition categories. The categories are Botanical Art, Drawing/Pastelwork, Watercolour/ Washwork, Painting, Mixed Media, Printmaking, Photomedia and Other.

If you would like to enter the Art Show the entry form is due by FRIDAY 3rd SEPTEMBER.

Up to four works, maximum size 1.2 x 1.2, (90cm width for mounted works behind glass) may be entered by an individual artist. All entries will need to be delivered WEDNESDAY 6th October with all 2D works securely wired for hanging. Heavy works need to be self-supporting if they are to be considered for exhibition.

All exhibited works in the Show need to be available for sale. Further information can be found in the Conditions of Entry and in details on the entry form.
